Mr. Burtscher holds a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and The Graduate School of Mortgage Banking, Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He joined McCarthy Group Asset Management in 1999 following a 30-year career in banking where he last served as President of Great Western Bank and became a partner in McCarthy Group Advisors in 2004. Mr. Burtscher’s investment management experience has included serving on investment and trust advisory committees for the trust divisions of financial institutions, and he was instrumental in founding and managing a group of investment representatives. Art maintains current registrations for the Series 65 (Investment Advisor Representative), Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent). Mr. Burtscher joined Westwood in 2010 as part of the acquisition of McCarthy Group Advisors.
